The Horne Family of Arizona
The Horne family has been in Arizona for over 100 years. The first of the Horne's to move to Arizona was Henry Horne who moved to Mesa, Arizona December 2, 1880. Henry Horne was a land owner on the extension of Main Street on about 80 acres of property. You can gauge where the Horne family was established as you drive through today's City of Mesa, and see Horne Road.
One of Henry Horne's eleven children, John Horne, owned and operated a dairy farm near what is now Horne Road and Main Street in Mesa.
Gail Horne, co-founder of Henry & Horne, PLC, Arizona’s largest independently owned accounting firm, is the son of John Horne. He continues to work his accounting business today at the age of 89.
Robert Horne was a partner at Henry & Horne for many years. He learned from his father how to be an honest, ethical and hard working American businessman. The Horne family instills these traits through the generations, and works hard to deliver them to the great State of Arizona.
Later with his accounting background, Robert purchased a small Chevrolet dealership in Show Low, Arizona in 1991. From that small start Robert Horne and sons Aaron, Adam, Andrew, Michael and son-in-law Martin Jones, with the support of their families, have grown the business into the Horne Auto Group.
